STAYCATION - WEDNESDAY, JULY 3- SATURDAY, JULY 6, 2013
WEDNESDAY, JULY 3RD - Meet at Abby and Papa’s between
4:00 and 5:00 for BBQ in the park.
We will grill burgers and dogs.
Let Abby know if you would like to bring melon, chips, beans or
drinks. Our main activity at the
park will be a fun team game under the direction of Mark and Heather – teams
will be videoed and crazy stunts and challenges will abound!!! We will then go back to the house to
watch the videos, and have a soda tasting party. Dessert will be prepared by Randy – does everyone remember
his amazing oven s’mores??
** REMEMBER TO BRING: Your contribution to dinner/swim suits and towels to keep
here for swimming over the staycation period.
THURSDAY, JULY 4TH
- HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! HAPPY
BIRTHDAY #5 TO STEVEN!! - We will meet at Pump It Up in Chino
(check out the website at www.pumpitupparty.com)
at 10:00 am for Steven’s birthday party and 80 minutes of crazy bouncing in two
rooms with just Abbotts!! We will
have lunch and birthday cupcakes (thank you, Vicky!) Lunch is Pizza, veggie platter and capri suns. We will be done by 12:40, then back to
Abby’s for swimming, Tshirt decorating for the kids, etc. Greg and Mike will grill carne asada
for dinner, served with fancy rice, green salad, and rolls. *** WE WILL TAKE A FAMILY PICTURE AFTER
DINNER AT ABOUT 6:00**** Fireworks show at a local park which is on everyone’s
way home.
**REMEMBER TO BRING:
Change of clothes for family picture.
FRIDAY, JULY 5TH -
OPTIONAL DAY AT CASTLE AMUSEMENT PARK 12:00 to 5:00 - Those that opt out
can rest at home, swim at Abby’s, visit Tom’s Farms for lunch, etc. In the evening, the adults are
going out to dinner at Dos Lagos.
Please provide your own babysitter.
SATURDAY, JULY 6TH
- Morning hike and picnic in Cleveland National Forest. Kids movie in the afternoon. Brothers Basketball Game? We will have
an early dinner which will be catered by a local BBQ restaurant. After dinner, we will have a talent
show/skits for any of the kids who would like to perform (this will be a very
short and simple activity and no one should feel pressure to participate). We will end our staycation with a
rousing game of Family Bunko with prizes for all!!!
**REMEMBER TO BRING: Food for kids who won’t eat sandwiches
on hike. Props for talent show/skit.
MISC. INFO:
Papa will let each family know how much to reimburse at end of Staycation
for food. Each family pays their
own entertainment costs like Castle Park, a portion of Pump it Up, T shirts for
kids, kids movie, etc.
WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SPEND TIME WITH EACH OTHER!!!! WE PURPOSELY MADE THIS STAYCATION
SIMPLE BECAUSE OF SO MANY BABIES AND THE LOGISTICS OF TRAVEL AND TRAFFIC OVER
THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. THANKS IN
ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP IN MAKING THIS STAYCATION A FUN MEMORY FOR ALL OF
